CRIMINAL APPEALS

If you or a loved one have been convicted of a crime, you are entitled to at least one direct appeal.  The purpose of an appeal is to look at the trial record, that is, everything that the court reporter typed, to see if the judge made an incorrect ruling the may get you a new trial.  Very few appeals are successful.  If we win, you get a new trial.  If we lose, you can hire a Texas Appeals lawyer to write a Petition for Discretionary Review to the Court of Criminal Appeals.  If that is not successful, we can always file a writ of habeas corpus, for example, if your trial counsel or previous appellate lawyer was incompetent.  If you or a loved one has been convicted of a crime DO NOT HESITATE, as you only have thirty days to file a motion for new trial.  Contact me ASAP if you have been convicted of a crime.
